Party Time: Gal Gadot, known for her role as Wonder Woman, marked her 35th birthday in style on Thursday as close friends paid her and her husband Yaron Varsano a surprise visit at their home in Los Angeles. The couple warmly welcomed their guests who stopped by to deliver a special birthday treat. Gadot’s face lit up in surprise as she clasped her hands together in excitement at the unexpected visit. Varsano, 41, joined in to greet the visitors while maintaining a safe social distance. Surprise Encounter: The Israeli actress Gadot appeared to be genuinely caught off guard by the unexpected visit, joyfully clasping her hands together and letting out a little exclamation as she warmly welcomed her friends.
In a casually chic ensemble, Gadot rocked a military green sleeveless jumpsuit cinched at the waist with drawstrings, paired with trendy strappy sandals. This Israeli-born actress and former beauty queen made her mark in Hollywood back in 2009 when she landed a role in the fourth installment of the Fast & Furious series. Her portrayal of Gisele Yashar continued in the sequels released in 2011 and 2013.
But it was director Zack Snyder who truly propelled Gadot’s career to new heights when he cast her as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice in 2016. Following up on her success, she then starred in the solo film Wonder Woman in 2017, directed by Patty Jenkins, which went on to become the highest-grossing film by a female director in Hollywood history.
Jenkins is back at the helm for the sequel, Wonder Woman 1984, which sees Gadot reuniting with co-star Chris Pine. While initially set for an August release, the current COVID-19 crisis may impact its opening date.
