Gal Gadot Reveals Desire for Weekly Births and Regrets Controversial Imagine Cover

Gal Gadot, known for her role in Red Notice, now admits that she regrets the decision to organize a well-intentioned but ultimately misguided quarantine cover of John Lennon’s Imagine during the global shutdown in March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Reflecting on the video, the 36-year-old actress and mother-of-three acknowledges that it was premature and not the right move at the time. In an interview with InStyle’s February edition, set to be released on January 14, Gadot expressed regret for the poorly timed and distasteful nature of the video, despite her good intentions. She humbly acknowledges that sometimes things don’t go as planned, even with the best of intentions.

“It was too early,” said Gal Gadot, reflecting on her decision to organize the cringe-worthy quarantine cover of John Lennon’s “Imagine” in March 2020 when the world was shut down due to the coronavirus. Together with her famous friends like Kristen Wiig, Sarah Silverman, and Will Ferrell, they sang about ‘no possessions’ from their mansions, sparking criticism.

To lighten the mood and make fun of herself, Gadot playfully sang a few lines of Imagine while accepting an award at ELLE’s 2021 Women in Hollywood event on October 19. “Yeah. Might as well. They had a mic there!” she joked. “It just felt right, and I don’t take myself too seriously. With the whole Imagine controversy, I felt like I wanted to take the air out of it, so that event was a great opportunity to do that.”

In the latest issue of InStyle, a 36-year-old mother of three admitted that her recent decision wasn’t the best choice. The actress who brought Wonder Woman to life reminisced about a recent event, mentioning that she doesn’t take herself too seriously and wanted to lighten the mood surrounding the Imagine controversy. The event provided her with the perfect opportunity to do just that.

She opts for epidurals during labor to make the process more bearable, emphasizing the incredible feeling of creating life.

On June 29, Gadot shared a family photo that captured her joy in motherhood. She expressed her love for her three daughters – Alma, Maya, and Daniella – whom she shares with her husband and producing partner Yaron ‘Jaron’ Versano. Their 13-year marriage has brought them a beautiful family that Gadot cherishes deeply.

The 5ft10in brunette effusively spoke about her experience with childbirth: “I absolutely love it and wish I could do it more often. It’s truly magical. I always opt for epidurals, so the pain is manageable. The moment you realize you’re bringing a new life into the world is absolutely incredible. However, my pregnancies are quite difficult for me – I experience nausea and migraines. It’s just not my strong suit.”

Gal feels that the most impressive thing she does is “balancing my family life with my acting career.” She described the feeling of being on set as being like a kite, soaring high and trying to catch the wind. But when she goes back home, her main focus shifts to being a mother. “It’s not about me anymore; it’s all about taking care of my children – bathing Maya, feeding Alma, putting Daniella to bed.”
