Champions of Sustainable Style: Emma Watson and Benedict Cumberbatch in Prada’s Eco-Friendly Re-Nylon Campaign

Prada has launched its innovative Re-Nylon collection as part of its 2024 advertising campaign, with Emma Watson and Benedict Cumberbatch as the faces of the brand. This collection highlights Prada’s strong focus on sustainability, using ECONYL – a regenerated nylon yarn that can be recycled indefinitely without losing its quality. The Re-Nylon pieces are made from plastics sourced from the ocean, such as discarded fishing nets, as well as materials gathered from landfills and textile waste around the world. Prada employs a precise depolymerization and re-polymerization process to create the Re-Nylon yarn, turning waste into stylish fashion items with a circular fashion approach.

Captured by Willy Vanderperre, the latest campaign for Prada’s 2024 Re-Nylon Collection showcases classic pieces worn by actors Emma Watson and Benedict Cumberbatch against the backdrop of the ocean. This collection not only promotes sustainability but also reflects Prada’s ongoing efforts to protect the environment by providing chic and long-lasting fashion choices. In addition, Prada shows its dedication to eco-friendly practices by donating a portion of the Re-Nylon Collection’s sales to SEA BEYOND, a project initiated with UNESCO’s Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC) in 2019.

Emma Watson and Benedict Cumberbatch are using their voices and influence to support sustainable fashion with Prada’s Re-Nylon campaign. This showcases the significance of mindful shopping and how the fashion industry can contribute to environmental efforts. By endorsing Prada’s mission for a more sustainable future, both actors are actively promoting stylish and eco-friendly choices.
