ELLE honored the action star at the event, shedding light on her bravery in standing up against alleged mistreatment from Justice League director Joss Whedon. Reports revealed that Gal confronted Whedon concerning certain dialogue for Wonder Woman that she felt was out of character, leading him to be verbally abusive. Despite his threats to make her look foolish in the film, Gal remained firm in her stance.
Following the incident, Gal and Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins met with then-Warner Bros. chairman Kevin Tsujihara to resolve the matter. Despite feeling scared during the confrontation, Gal’s determination prevailed as she defended her character and values.

“Oh, as soon as it happened, I started to shake trees. The bigwigs over at Warner Brothers really took care of the situation,” Gal stated.
Returning to my strong sense of justice… you’re left spinning because you can’t believe what was just said to you,” she added. “And if it was said to me, then surely it’s being said to many others. I simply did what I felt was necessary. It was important to let people know that such behavior is not acceptable.”
Up next, the renowned actress will be appearing alongside Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and Ryan Reynolds in the action-packed comedy Red Notice, set to be released on Netflix in November.
